At the zoo again!

The loin and tiger were all worked up today! Pacing, pawing at the glass and roaring. My friend and I were getting very much so freightened out by it, but the boys thought it was so cool! We had challenges pulling them away until they heard our own mother-nature tone come out.

This loin was so close to the glass that you have see the condensation on the glass in this picture.
This tiger was eye-balling Ethan. (You can see Ethan's head just beyond the boy in the navy tee). Yikes!

Father's Day!

Ethan insisted that his Daddy needed one cupcake with pink frosting for Father's Day! We visited three different speciality bakeries ("nope, no pink" Ethan would say) before going to a local grocery store and convinced the produce guy (bakery part of the store was closed) to add frosting. I ended up having to add more...the produce guy works in produce for a reason!

Waiting for Papa to come (Shisha too!) Looks like little Grant standing here with his hands on his hips!

Father's Day with Papa! Apparently Ethan did not have a parent around to wash the ketchup off his face! Papa gets all the awesome toys in the eyes of his grandchildren!

Outcome of Strawberry Picking!

Outcome of the Mom's...

Outcome of the boys....

It's a good thing they didn't weigh the boys before and after! For every 5 strawberries I would put into the container, Ethan would carefully select 3, eat them and then eat 2 more from the vine!

Strawberry Pickin Season!

We had a fun time picking strawberries with some wonderful friends!! It is such a blessing for both Ethan and I to have really great friends in the Jenkins!

Big tease after being told, no more!!
Found guilty of eating lots of strawberries!
Strawberry mustache!
If this picture could talk it would say, "Mom is this one good!" Justen would ask this on every single strawberry! This kid makes me laugh!
Ethan loves his buddy Justen! Justen is 6 months older then Ethan! Ethan is a gaint!

Passionate about my Profession

My rewards of work are endless and often times I find myself wondering if I am the one getting the therapy or providing the therapy. Two events happened with two different patients this week on two very different levels, but both comes down to what is truly meaningful in each of our lives!

One of my patients began volunteering at the local Humane Society and by having the contact with the dogs, his YEARS of depression and suicidal thoughts are lifting! SOMETHING VERY SIMPLE MAKES HIM FEEL WORTHWHILE!

On the flip side, SOMETHING COMPETITIVE AND CHALLENGING MAKES THIS PATIENT FEEL WORTHWHILE as he continues to brake national records within his Paralympic classification for field events! This could lead him to London in 2012 for the US Paralympics!

I am so fortunate to be on both of these cases and to see meaning be placed in their lives after being faced with mountains to climb that are very hard to even imagine!

Yard fishing!

Ethan likes to fish in the yard and knows that he needs to wait for Daddy to come home to use it! Ethan was stalking for Grant to come home from work and Grant took the "bait" as he didn't even go in the house this day to drop off his work stuff. Straight from one kind of teaching to another and fabulous at both I must say!

Growth

It is fun to see the growth in Ethan! These are small magnets that he likes to create his name with. He knows "E", "T" and "H"!

Zoo time with buddy Justin!

Can we take him home?
Why is Ethan walking like an old man?

Ethan stated "Look, it's Justen and Ethan!"
