Our Friends, The Gallaghers, came to visit us mid July!

Four boys and Ethan won the dirtest boy award! This kid is never clean!

Blueberry pickin'!

Chuggin blueberries! Let's just say that Ethan's poop for the next couple of days was not normal! It's a great thing that they don't weigh the kids before and after!

Splash Pad Fun!

Waiting...waiting..waiting...
Run....

Camping in Traverse City early July!

Fighting with a 3 year old that taking a nap in between the mattress and the tent wall was not the coolest place was just not worth it.

Candy bar bingo that the moms took them to! You should have seen them trying to finish their candy bars on the short walk back so they didn't have to share with their Dads!

Momma- Ethan time while waiting to view the Traverse City Cherry Festival Fireworks!

And so the little side trips begin...Grant had a plan to take Ethan fishing at a special place on our way home.

Gilligan and his Dad!

Camping in Grayling July 4th Weekend!

Ethan taking a nap on the beach of Ostego Lake!
Our friend, Andy using a princess pole to fishing at a KIDS derby! The KIDS lost interest very quickly!

Dads and Kids lining the bank of the river to get a big catch!

My nephew Matthew

Please pray for my 4 year old nephew Matthew as he broke his left arm while jumping on a trampoline. He is in a full cast for 3.5 weeks. We are heading over there on Wednesday to play board games (yes, hard to imagine rough houser #1 (Matthew) and rough houser #2 (Ethan) will be playing low organized games!) We are also taking 9 sleeveless shirts and 1 regular shirt that says "future stuntman" on it (couldn't resist buying it as a little humor can always get you through challenging times!)

(At the top of the xray, is a finger. This is not his, it is my sisters holding the arm in place.)

Some roles never change..even into the grandparent generation!

As I was packing Ethan's bag to spend 1 night at Papa and Shisha's, I asked him what he thought he was going to do with Papa?

He stated " icecream and swimming!"

How about Shisha? "Go poo-poo!"

Ethan is so right on with this! How come the guys get all the credit for the fun? Why doesn't Ethan get excited over his clean butt that the women in his life make sure that he has?

Which leads me to my second story, I sometimes throw out Rehab terms to Grant and realize later that he has no clue what I am talking about as one day I asked Grant to complete all of Ethan's ADL's when Ethan was in the bathtub. Grant quietly thought about it and later approached me stating, well I washed his ass (A) and his dick (D), but I don't know what you wanted me to do with his lips (L)? ADL's actually stands for Activities of Daily Living!
