No baby news yet...

but time is getting closer and although my due date is on March 9th, there have been signs that the big event is approaching! We are looking forward to sharing the news! I have a feeling that our March blog might be a little bare due to all the craziness that is to come!

Ethan and the desk!

This desk was offered to Ethan awhile back by Papa and Shisha (it was a childhood desk of mine or one of my sisters) and at the time Ethan declined. Recently he saw a very similar one at an exterior stone store and was reminded that he had one waiting for him at Papa and Shisha's house. He immediately called Papa and Shisha to bring the desk and holding up to the "we do anything for our grandchildren" motto, it arrived at our house in less then a week from their Freeland home (1.5 hours away)! Ethan has played school everyday since receiving it. There are 2 boys and 1 girl in his class!

House update!

Our property has been cleared of trees and Ethan had a wish to dig the basement! He was very specific on what tools he needed to get the job done!

Hunting Blind

Ethan created a hunting blind for Chinook and himself while I was showering one day. I normally have him engage in an activity in his room, so I can hear what he is doing. This day made me a little nervous when I couldn't hear him. Notice the sock on his hand...he made his way into my sock drawer because he needed "hunting gloves!"

9 months and waiting!

Baby update - 2.8.11!

4 weeks out until my due date and due to past medical issues, I have an ultrasound 1 time a week from now on. This is the latest picture of baby! This is a profile picture. Notice the 3 fingers on top of the forehead? I found it quite humorous that the hand/fingers were on top of the forehead as when this picture has brought up I was in the middle of having to remind Ethan of good behavior (multiple times) and it struck me and if the baby was saying...oh goodness not that name again! Let the adventures begin...even when inside the womb! The baby is 6lbs. 9oz. as of today! This baby is on the same growth track as Ethan and Ethan weighed 8lbs. 11oz (and continues to be on the upper end of the growth chart for both height and weight - who wants his food bill when he's a teenager?)

Birthday Girls!

Chinook and I share birthdays! She has become more and more of a shadow around the house as my pregnancy progresses. There have been times when it has been very dangerous as she will lay behind my feet with me not knowing when I am making dinner. I can't even go to the bathroom with out her persistances to come in. I recall some of this when I was pregnant with Ethan, but not to this extreme! And once Ethan was born, she very protective of Ethan! I will take the endless cleaning of dog hair (which I absolutely hate) to have this little lover in our household!

New Home!

Isn't our new home beautiful? We've began the process of having a home built closer to Grant's work and to prepare to send Ethan to school within the same school district. Ethan picked out his bedroom. Can you tell what one it is? Yes, he wants Home Depot orange walls. I love the landscaping he did, however I would prefer not to have a "big black cloud" around our house! I love kids art, it tells some great stories!
