I love this man!

This is my loveable Brother-In-Law, Bruce, when Garrett was born as he found the wonderful stretchable panties in my bathroom! I nearly ripped a stitch laughing so hard and the nurses enjoyed this picture so much that they pulled together a panty variety pack for him! Bruce recently received a framed copy of the picture and panties for his Birthday, therefore the reasoning for it being posted at a later time. This one will definitely be put into Garrett's baby book! I refrained from cropping this photo as it depicts how my Father (back to the camera) reacts when his Son-in-laws (mostly Bruce) starts to act crazy! Just walk away, shake the head and say Geez-o-man!

Basement of the New House!

Framing of the new house will begin sometime late next week! This view is from the backyard looking into the cul-da-sac.

Loving tummy time!

Garrett - 3 weeks old! He prefers his stomach over his back, which makes sleeping a challenge for him (and for us too!) He spends most of the night in his bouncy chair. He has become a little bit of a Momma's Boy and will quit crying instantly when Grant hands him over! I had to remind Grant that Ethan was the same way and now looks forward to the daily running and wrestling when Daddy gets home from work each day!

Baby Dedication!

Ethan and Garrett were both dedicated to our Church this past Sunday! With loving support from family and friends our day was perfectly meaningful!

Barechested Boys!

I am in love with this picture!

Smiles and Laughes warm my heart!

Garrett has been laughing and smiling since he was 7 days old and I finally got it! He must be content! Our little porkchop had gained 10oz. last week and 14oz. this week. He is only 18 days old and the norm is almost an oz a day! Definitely taking after his Big Brother in this department! Anyone wish to commit to helping us out with our food bill during the teenage years?

Ethan continues to love on him! Momma learned her lesson today to not leave Garrett in the bouncy seat when showering as Ethan dragged the seat into the tv room so Garrett could watch cartoons with him!

I call my boys the dimple boys as Ethan has a dominent dimple on the right and Garrett has his on the left!

St. Patrick's Day Tradition!

Our family tradition is to go out and get a Shamrock Shake from McDonalds every year on St. Patricks Day (one year we had to visit 4 McD's to get one!), however this year we switched it up to Culvers since we are not too crazy about the new "speciality" shakes at McD's. Ethan is not happy with me in this picture because I asked him to take a break from drinking to get his facial masterpiece! Ethan got into the markers today and claimed that he was putting on his football makeup. When Grant got home, Grant asked Ethan if Momma did that to him while he was sleeping as there are probably a good handful of MSU students right down the road from us that look like this with the help from their "drinking buddies!"

Thank you Gallaghers (Our Irish Friends) for this awesome bib!

On our way home and first moments home!

Departing for the real world!

Momma and her boys!
Goofball!

Ethan has a box to put all of his winter gear in. He initiated putting Garrett's (white outfit) with his as well! May sharing always be this easy!

First Night and all stretched out in his new duds!

Sunbathing!
Guess who did this?
Handsomes!

Family Fun!

We posted this on Garrett's bed at the hospital just to add a little fun when family members came to visit! The nurses and doctors thought it was hiliarious...at least no one yet has called CPS knowing the crazy family Garrett is joining!

Hospital Bed!

Momma gets booted from the hospital bed, not just once...but
Twice!

Our new addition!

Garrett Emerson Melville
Born 3-4-2011 at 3:56pm
8lbs 6oz
21" long

So many striking handsome Ethan characteristics!

The adventure to the birth: I had an appointment on Tuesday and had measured with increase fluid in my uterus so they wanted to break my water in a controlled environment due to potential challenges that could occur with the umbilical cord. They attempted to schedule me for an induction on Wednesday, but no "womb" was available. They then scheduled me for Thursday morning, but when we called to check in 2 hours before, they stated that they didn't have a "womb" available for me again and that they would call later morning. Later morning came and still no "womb". Evening came and still no "womb". Later evening came and still no "womb". We were then tentatively scheduled for Friday morning and was confirmed at 5:30am in the morning with a 7:30am check in. Momma Melville was induced at 9:00am and proceeded with contractions until they broke my water at 1:45pm. That is when things really kicked in! The pushing process started at 3:50 and Garrett was born at 3:56! Yes, 6 minutes and two pushes! Both Mother and Baby are healthy and doing well!

The beautiful introduction of Brothers: Ethan was instantly and truly in love with Garrett. Stating several times, "He's so cute!" He had lots of "Why" questions. A beautiful parenting moment that warmed our hearts as Ethan's genuine love for others (in this case for his new baby brother) came very apparent!

Mesmerized....
Wanting to take "My Baby" for a walk! (Throughout the pregnancy it was always "Your Baby", now Ethan states "My Baby!)

We have a helper on our hands!
Brotherly cuddle time!
Listen Buddy, I know that we will not see eye to eye at times throughout our life, but know that I will always love you! Love - Big Brother Ethan!
