Boys outing - Home Depot project day!

Father like Son or Son like Father? My Father sleeps with his hat over his eyes on car rides! Ethan really does look up to his Papa!

Baby Melville #2!

Here is Baby Melville's first picture (besides the little dot from our 6 week appointment). We had to have an early ultrasound as there was thought that there might be twins. The 4 days in between the appointment and ultrasound were very interesting. I think Grant's hair turned more gray and I beleive that those who knew about the upcoming ultrasound were seceretly wishing that there were twins just to see Grant in action (as many of you know Grant can get flustered very easy!) It sure would of been interesting to say the least! By far the best quote from Grant, referencing to having twins was "I know God never screws up, but I do!" I could not help to wonder if we were to have twins if those that have been praying for us to have another baby (given our challenges from the previous year), were praying just a little "two" hard? Then my pregnancy brain clicked off and realized there is no such thing as praying too hard! We are so excited for this little one! Ethan heard the heartbeat and his mouth dropped open! He gets it! I couldn't help but get tears in my eyes knowing that with good parenting and support from family and friends that these two will have a bond for a lifetime! Girl or Boy...it better come out with a football helmet ready to play as Big Brother is ready!

Wonderful times spent with our niece Catherine!

Catherine (age 10) spent 5 days with us and as you can see it was a blast! We were rarely home! We went to MSU marching band practice! The sounds of fall are in the air! For those of you that are local, Ethan and I love to go on either Thursday or Fridays to see their performance for the week! We would love to have you join us sometime! Ethan loves it and has been known to make friends with the band members and I, as most of you know, will always have the love for marching bands in my heart! Fire Up Chips! I now often wonder how I use to march (high knees at times) and have enough breath to get though my horn to make music. I now breathe heavy just running up the stairs with a laundry basket! Wow, how life changes!

Drumline! Ethan was mesmerized!

Yes, Ethan has his own horn!

Dancin' to the music!

Waterpark Fun! Ethan has no fear of the water. In one way I am happy, in another way it makes me nervous. Ethan's newest thing is to jump in from the side of the pool. He observed from somebody, somewhere that you bring your fingers to your face. It was likely that they were plugging their nose, however he apparently observed that you put your pointer finger in your mouth to plug it! Strange and humorous child!

Ok! So Ethan does have a little French in him, but he enjoyed the beday position a little too much!

Give Catherine a few more years and I will be taking her to get a real facial!

Uncle Grant took one for the team as it's probably not a smart idea for a pregnant lady to go on the slides. Uncle Grant was too afraid to go on this one! Way to go Catherine!

Snuggling in the sunshine! Ethan tends to need a little momma time every now and then. I will take it anywhere, anytime...even while sunbathing on a hot summer day!

We took Catherine out for her very first sushi experience! She was a trooper but stated "I think I'll stick with American food!"

My handsome has taken great care of his very tired Mother...Grant too! Ethan likes to look at the "babies foot" everyday through my mouth!

Baseball boys and a 4 legged third basemen!

A Day Out with Thomas and Momma!

This was a surprise for Ethan and he acted a little shocked at first! No smiles on the outside, but full of them on the inside! Hanging his head out during the train ride!
Ethan loved waving to all the people!

It wasn't all fun and games...we had some pouting time too! These parenting moments are just as great to capture as the fun times!
Ethan attempting to shift his eyes "like the trains do!"

The end result to a day of fun!

On departure, Ethan stated: "Papa can come with me next time!" Apparently, I am not as exciting as Papa and I am thankful for that! Thanks for being a great Papa, Dad!

Dirty and still handsome!
